To Resolve, or Not To Resolve...

...and if I do resolve to make changes in my life, what resolutions do I make? I realize that the beginning of a new year is naturally the perfect time to make the decision to do better, be better and keep being better longer than the first 2 weeks of January. But instead, this year I am overwhelmed at the number of things I could and should do better at. I'm also somewhat confused as to which goals should be a priority over many others I have listed in my mind. There are the goals that would make improvements to my mind and my body, those that would keep my house cleaner and myself more organized. Then there are the things I could work on that would improve my spiritual side, hopefully making me a better mother and wife and making my home a haven for my family. I would love to hear your thoughts on this subject. What changes are you resolving to make this upcoming year?

I plan on posting about this soon- My cousin gave me the best idea last year!! Instead of making resolutions- I chose a word for the year to be my word. My word was "Joy" I worked on recognizing Joy when I otherwise wouldn't have and each time the topic came up in the scriptures or at church or in COnference m ears perked up- i even bought a few books about it and have started reading them... my point is I thought of it all year, not just for 2 months or 2 weeks. I had more joy this year than I have ever recognized before!! My cousin's word was "simplify" and it worked for her- she was able to prioritize and organize through out the year.

Hope this helps!!

Last year I chose ten things to work on throughout the year. I'm trying to decide this year if I want to choose 12 and focus on one each month, or if I want to do 10 again. Some things I resolve are usually always a work in progress, but others are more tangible (like completing a project, etc.). I like having a mix of both.

Hope you guys are doing well! We need to make plans soon. :)

Hey, no worries. Take it one thing at a time. When one's mastered, tackle the next. You're as disciplined as they come this should be a cake walk for you.
