Last night I had hoped to have a good night in with my family, maybe watch a movie, chill out and enjoy not having anything to do. Boy did it turn into something I had not expected.
Claire started having a runny nose and a small cough on Sunday. We kept her out of nursery to avoid giving it to anyone else. Her symptoms have been hanging on the last few days. Because of the stuffy nose she's had a little trouble breathing while sleeping. Keith and I had one heck of a night on Tuesday staying up with her, sleeping on the floor with her and trying to keep her comfortable.
Then yesterday she took a small nap which is understandable when your not feeling in tip top condition. She woke up a little after 5 pm with a temperature of 104.7. I needed to get her to the Dr. just in time for the Dr. offices to close. So Keith hurried home and I took her to the nearest Instacare. Two hours, two chest x-rays and one breathing treatment later we returned home with a nebulizer and prescription in hand. She has something called bronchilitis. Don't ask me to explain. All I know is that it's viral and I have to give her a breathing treatment every 4 hours that takes about 15 minutes. It's hard to get her to hold still that long, even though she is sick. This will go on for 4-5 days and hopefully we can see her breathing improve. Luckily, she is in good spirits and other than being a tad grouchy, you'd never really know she's not feeling well.
What a great start to the weekend :)

Poor, Claire! And you. I'm glad she's okay and that you have what you need to get her better. Call if you need anything. I'll be home late Saturday.
I'm sorry she's sick! It's the absolute worst having sick kids, especially when they can't breathe well. Taylor is very prone to croup and gets it several times a year, and we have spent many a night on his floor as well. I hope the bronchiolitis clears up soon!
That last comment was actually me, of course. I didn't realize our blog was signed in under Clay's name instead of mine!
What a bummer to be down in bed with the weather warming so nicely. I hope you're both able to get out and enjoy some sunshine. Are you using a vaporizer? If so, you should add some Eucalyptus Oil. It really helps!
It's no fun being sick as the weather warms up!! Good luck and I hope she feels better soon!!
I hope Claire is doing better! Poor girl. :(
The joys of motherhood! Hang in there. Hope she gets well soon and you won't have to worry about missing the good weather (it's snowing outside as I type)!
