Thanks for all your comments and suggestions. They are very much appreciated. Just so you know, unless we come across an insanely good deal on a cruise, we will be going to NYC to mix it up with a Broadway show (Wicked, BABY), some sight seeing and a little church history.

As for my hair, I am 90% sure that it's coming off. I need to find someone good that I can trust to do a good job. Also, it would be nice to find some time and a babysitter to get it done. I'll keep you all posted :)

Some Advice, Please

Or just your opinion would suffice. I have two things on which I'd like a little input and I'm also a bit curious as to what you all will say.

Question #1: Keith and I have been tentatively planning a trip for the two of us this year. We'll celebrate our 10th year of marriage in November and have come the realization that taking a trip like that during the holidays is nearly impossible. Also the summer months make it easier to find sitters and for the sitters not to deal with our kids school schedules. Some of our ideas for a vacation are going to New York and seeing a Broadway play plus visiting the Sacred Grove, taking a cruise, or going on a Church History Tour. Tell me your ideas or suggestions.

Question #2: I have been toying with the idea of chopping off my hair. There was a sister in my old ward who had the curliest, red hair and she always dared to have it short. I put a picture below of how I think I would cut it. What do you think?

Now here's your chance to weigh in your thoughts and opinions. I'm purposely not saying which I prefer only to get some honest responses. Hopefully you can help me make up my mind.

Draper Temple Open House

On Saturday afternoon we attended the Open House with my parents and my brothers' families. Rachael and Dustin were both pretty excited to see the inside of a temple. As we walked through, Dustin held tight to the pamphlet that showed the different rooms we would see and kept track until the very end when we walked past the waiting rooms. My favorite room was the Bride's Room, I loved the colors (blue and green). But the wood work and the decor in the whole temple was beautiful. The ceiling in the Celestial Room seemed to reach up to heaven itself and the chandeliers gave off such gorgeous light. I can't wait to go back and serve there.

A Trip to the Dentist...

...with all 4 kids...and no cavities = one happy Mom!!!

Not to mention that we have never, ever had a cavity with any of our kids (knock on wood)!

Don't ask why, because I really don't know how to explain Hillary being so upset!

Happy, Happy Birthday, Dustino!

Six years ago, at 11:00 pm, my little man came into this world. I was so sick because of an extremely bad kidney infection that had gone undetected my whole pregnancy so I was being admitted into the hospital for treatment when Dustin decided to do us (and our pocketbook) a favor by coming 2 weeks early. He reminded me a lot of Rachael but also his Grandpa B. because he had so little hair on top but plenty on the sides and back of his head. He was a long skinny boy who didn't like to sit still (and still doesn't) and only his Dad had the knack to calm him down and get him to sleep.

What do I love most about Dustin? That's such a tough question but I'll stick to his new age and list six things that make him memorable to me.

1. Of all my kids, I think he looks the most like me, including his brown eyes which only he got from his Mom.

2. In a house full of girls he manages to be all boy as you can see from the cut on his head in his school picture.

3. He has a great talent for music and is quite the little showman. He can't wait to start piano lessons in the summer.

4. Although he has a tough exterior (I swear there's not one ounce of chub on his body, only muscle) he has a very tender heart and is such a good brother, most of the time.

5. Dustin has such a strong testimony of the Gospel and I admire his great, childlike faith.

6. Out of one of the toughest times in my life I received a great blessing in my only son and I know he came to our family for a reason. I'm glad he chose me to be his mother.

Happy 6th Birthday to my Dustino-Bambino!!! I love you more than you'll ever know!
