Question #1: Keith and I have been tentatively planning a trip for the two of us this year. We'll celebrate our 10th year of marriage in November and have come the realization that taking a trip like that during the holidays is nearly impossible. Also the summer months make it easier to find sitters and for the sitters not to deal with our kids school schedules. Some of our ideas for a vacation are going to New York and seeing a Broadway play plus visiting the Sacred Grove, taking a cruise, or going on a Church History Tour. Tell me your ideas or suggestions.
Question #2: I have been toying with the idea of chopping off my hair. There was a sister in my old ward who had the curliest, red hair and she always dared to have it short. I put a picture below of how I think I would cut it. What do you think?
Now here's your chance to weigh in your thoughts and opinions. I'm purposely not saying which I prefer only to get some honest responses. Hopefully you can help me make up my mind.

#1 I think you should go on a cruise because I think it will be fun for you and going to New York would be pretty cool too and a Church tour would be very interesting. #2 I think you would look great with short hair!! It kinda scared me because my MOm i think was telling grandma that you were going to chop your hair, so I thought you were going to do it even shorter then that!!
#1 Anything to get a way would be great. You would love doing any of those options #2 Keep the hair the way it is. I have always regretted cutting my hair when it was short. Who knows maybe that is just me! :)
I vote cruise..but that might be because I am craving sunlight and warmth lately..but then again..I think New York would be SO much fun..(I know, lots of help I'm giving you..) As for your cute hair..from one curly head to another..I think it would look super cute short but make sure its a good person who does it..and also, I would make sure there were layers like the picture and not all the same length.. The shorter my hair is the curlier it goes and it seems to be a poof ball if its not all the same length.. :) You are one of those people who will really look cute with it both ways!
I mean its a poof ball if its short and is all the same length..its late :)o
My initial reaction is, Count Your Blessings, Girl! That these are the two topics you need advice on tells me how blessed you are. I'm glad you're a part of my life.
And I hope you all get feeling better soon. Do you need some new movies or anything for the kids?
P.S. I think short would be cute and I would prefer a vacation with some depth, so I would go for the non-cruise options, but that's just me!
Sammie,
If you spend the money to go on a Church History Tour, do it when your kids are old enough to come, remember, and gain testimony. Unless, you choose one in Central America. Neil and I loved our tours in Cancun. There's a ton of BOM history. Getaways are spicy when you get to feel energized by sunshine, beauty, or an electric city with a cultural experience. I love coming home feeling younger and blissful.
#2 I think you're hair would be soooooo cute cut short like that. Especially, with a few curls falling on your forehead to bring focus to your eys. (As a side note I almost ALWAYS tell everyone to keep their hair long, but I think it would be really feminine with your curls.)
#1 I keep changing my my mind. Obviously you would have a blast in any of those destinations. However, if I had to choose, I would suggest New York. I have not been there yet, but it seems like you could have the best of both worlds. Romance in the city and Chruch History in the sacred grove. Win-Win!
#2 GO SHORT!! You would be beautiful either way but women with short hair always look put together. Also with your curly hair I bet it would be a quick and easy hair style, and with 4 kids, quick and easy is a must!
P.S. Did you ever consider coming to Washington D.C.? :)
Well, you pretty much already have my opinion concerning the first one...Cruise or New York...New York would be "WICKED" :)
#2 While I think you would look beautiful with any hair doo, I would keep your beautiful long locks...you are one of those lucky women who CAN have long hair because it still looks healthy!!
#1 is really hard decision...all of them sound so good, maybe because I've never done any of them either.
#2 Cut your hair! I'd love to see it. It's been fun for me to have a new do! :)
Option 1: We've loved visiting New York, so if you've never been before, I think it's definitely worth the trip. Plus you can see church history stuff while there and do fun Broadway stuff- best of both worlds. Option 2: I love your hair long. It always looks fantastic I think, and I'd love to have that curly long hair!
Yes, let's definitely reschedule. Sorry I haven't contacted you sooner! Maybe Monday, March 2nd? Email me- mrsfelt [at] hotmail.com
Talk to you soon!
Okay, I left a message for you on my blog also, but couldn't resist leaving it here also.
I'm guessing you know my answer on the hair. I think you should cut it and give it a try. Were you talking about my short red, curly hair? :) I always love getting my hair short, then growing it, having it long for a year or so, and starting all over again. I really think I have hair ADD. I can't stay focused on one hairdo for too long.
Anyway, I was going to Lindsay at La Villa Salon 766-2300. I'm growing my hair right now so she hasn't seen my in about 3 months. Just don't ask for the same hairdo I had, cause it was about 1 inch long all the way around. That may be too big of a shocker. Good luck!
#1 we went on a cruise last year and it was so much fun! We went to the Western Caribean, Cozumel and Grand Cayman. Call me if you want to know details. #2 I personally like longer hair, but I think you would look cute with shorter hair. And if you don't like it, it will always grow back right? :o)
