Our little twins decided to make an early appearance on Aug. 15, 2010. They were 33 weeks and 6 days. Luckily I was able to avoid needing a c section. Although it was terrible to leave the hospital without them, I feel so blessed that they are doing so well and to know that my Heavenly Father is watching over my family and I.
Avery Grace was born @ 12:38 pm, 4lbs 4 oz and 15 1/2" long.
Alton Kole was born @ 1:18 pm, 5 lbs and 17 1/2" long.
This last picture is Avery and Kole (left and right) in their NICU bed. They will be there for a few weeks giving me a chance to recover before we bring them home.

They are both such beautiful babies and I like the names you picked. They seem to be pretty good size for having them so early...what a crazy surprise. I hope you are able to get them home quickly. I can't believe you are a mom of 6!
They are both so beautiful and I am so happy that everything went well. I totally understand what it's like to be discharged before your child is; it's gut-wrenching and I'm sorry that you have to experience it. But I'm glad you'll have that extra time to recover and I am so excited for you! Love, love, love the names, too, btw...especially Avery. :)
Congrats on your two new little ones! I am so glad that they are both doing so well. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help once things kind of calm down after your family has left. We would love to help you in any way we can.
Congratulations Sammie!!! They are adorable. Good luck with all that is to come. I'm looking forward to more updates!
Oh, Sammie- they're beautiful! I'm so glad they're here safely. I can't wait to hear more of the details- I'll call you soon. And once things calm down I'll definitely be bringing meals by!
Congrats!!! You are in for a fun ride! Enjoy them while they are not mobile!! Church is quite the task with our little boys! I hope all is well with you, and you make a speedy recovery!
Congratulations Sammie! The babies are beautiful and they both look so great! When will they get to come home? My babies were born at 33 weeks 3 days, so I know how you feel having to leave them there--it sucks! I hope you get to bring them home soon!
They are beautiful! Congratulations and good luck with the next couple of weeks of recovery. Please call if you need anything. Please call when I can stop by and see the sweet babies. Take care!!!
Oh my heck! I was totally not expecting to see this post - I thought for sure we would beat you to the punch (I still have 4 weeks) They are beautiful and most of all they look healthy!! What a Blessing! Congrats to you, Keith and the kiddos! I still can't believe it!! Wow - Hopefully your recovery goes well. We will be thinking of your family and your new additions. :-)
Congratulations you guys!!! They are so precious. Reminds me of 14, almost 15 years ago when we had our twins. I know how hard the nights can get. Please let us know what we can do to help :0)
HOORAY! love that last picture!
Congratulations! What cuties. Sleep, sleep, sleep until they get home. :)
Sammie!
They are perfect!
I've been really bad about checking people's blogs the last few months and the today I was thinking about you and thought, "Oh my goodness! She's probably had her twins by now!"
It's been so fun looking through all the pictures. They're growing so well! They are just precious!
Congratulations! (I'm sorry it's so late.) I hope things continue to go well for you. I'll be thinking of you!
