To Train or Not to Train

Claire turned 2 about four months ago. Over the last few weeks she has shown quite an interest in the potty. In fact, she wakes up dry most every morning and I'll take her to the bathroom and she will use the potty right away. I have even caught her grunting a couple of times and she went #2 on the potty. I can tell she knows the right muscles to use, she will go even a little bit every time she sits on the toilet. So my question is, do I start to train her or don't I? Potty training is the hardest and biggest frustration about motherhood for me (so far). It's only been a year since I potty trained Hillary and I'm not sure I'm ready for another round. My plan for now is to keep taking her first thing in the morning, right before bed and any other time she wants to and then maybe when we get back from our trip in June I'll buckle down and do it. I'd hate to do it now and then have her regress while we're gone. Sound good?

Sammie, my oldest girls potty trained right at two, so it's probably not too early if she's showing a lot of interest, but I think June's a great time to do it when you can put the potty chair outside when you're playing in the backyard and she can run around with just her undies or nothings for a week or so. But if you decide to do it before your trip, just get a prize bowl for the sitter to motivate her with. We used 1 m&m for an attempt, 2 m&m's for peeing, and 3 m&m's for a BM. We also used stickers. Our babysitter thought it was cake!

I totally forget if I asked you if you want a list of things to do and places to eat that aren't the tourist traps in NYC.
